JISNAS signed MOU with Wageningen University & Research (WUR) in the Netherlands.
In April 2016, through the Secretary Office, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Research Council, MAFF, we began exchanging opinions on young researcher exchanges in agricultural fields between Japan and the Netherlands, the Wageningen University & Research (WUR) in the Netherlands. In March 2017, in collaboration with WUR, we held a meeting on the communication policy at the JICA project office of Yangon Institute of Technology, Myanmar.
On June 13th, 2017, we held a signing ceremony of MOU between WUR and JISNAS at Kyushu University Tokyo office. Arjo Rothuis, Manager, International Cooperation Asia of WUR, and Kazuo Ogata, Chair of Steering Committee, Akira Yamauchi, Vice Chair, Takao Yoshimatsu, Member, Chiharu Nakajima, Coordinator of International Research Subcommittee, Hiroshi Ehara, Executive Secretary of JISNAS attended, signed a document on research education exchange, and agreed to cooperate in various fields such as symposium holding. In the ceremony, we exchanged opinions on workshops and young researcher exchanges. We are planning to hold research exchanges and joint workshops during the current or next fiscal year.
